I began this daily blog on September 11, 2010 as place to show the photos I was taking of my neighourhood, Fernwood. It's not a part of town traditionally associated with beauty; it has no waterfront, the real estate is still fairly affordable, and it's known for a funky atmosphere. But I've always heard that there's beauty everywhere if you know how to look, so I thought I'd start looking around with my camera.
Two months later, there are 11 photographers looking around with me and sharing their views of our 'hood. I post a new photo here on the blog every day, and I've been inspired by my fellow photographers' skills and artistry.
In celebration of what we've done so far, I put together this little video of our photos to date. Enjoy!

Angela this is an award winning video! The colours you pick up in everyday life in the hood are spectacular. Great work/art! Lori B
ReplyDeletegreat idea - what a neat way to promote a community - lots of applications elsewhere too I think - Rajeev's guitar playing is really coming along.... Ron
